We use a range of natural ingredients in all of our drinks including juices, natural flavours and colours. We get our colours from products like beta-carotene and black carrot extract, instead of synthetic colours. All of our drinks are sweetened with grape juice concentrate, which is derived from fruit (obvs) and means we don't use refined white sugar or chemical sweeteners. It's basically a fruit-derived neutral-flavoured fructose syrup, and is really lovely to use in drinks. Sure it's a bit more expensive but it makes the drinks taste delicious and gives us our all important clean finish. Oh, and they really taste of something too. To make sure that we can ensure a twelve-month shelf life, we use use Vitamin C as an antioxidant and stabiliser, and we pasteurise all of our products to meet all food safety regulations. Our products contain none of the most common allergens like milk, gluten, eggs, fish, shellfish, sulphites and soybeans.

Yep, all of our products are vegan.

By using fruit juices, we are not adding any additional sugar to our drinks but there is sugar in the juices that we use. Lakes Soda Sparkling Lemon contains 7.4g of sugars 100ml. Lakes Soda Orange & Pink Grapefruit contains 7.5g of sugars per 100ml. Lakes Soda Ginger & Lime contains 7.6g of sugars per 100ml.

Yes, all of our products are gluten-free.

After a long walk in the Lake District fells, we were craving a local soft drink for our sweet post-hike hit. While there were loads of local beers and spirits available, there was no soft-drink that we could call our own. All the fridge space was taken up with multi-nationals and brands from other parts of the UK. Some of these are delicious, but they weren't brands we could call ours. So we set out to change the status quo. From our home on the northern edge of the Lake District, we started formulating recipes that we knew would hit the spot after a day of adventure. We wanted our drinks to taste like they used to - with no artificial ingredients or chemical sweeteners. And, we also wanted them to be full-flavoured, clean finishing and of course refreshing. We're committed to making amazing drinks with the best ingredients and know that you will love them, either when you're at the end of a day or taking a quick pit stop between adventures.

Best kept in the fridge but you can also store them in the cupboard or a cool place. Due to all of our sodas containing fresh juices the shelf life is twelve months and you can find the best before date on the bottom of your can.
